About me

Joseph StapletonI was a trained nurse and nurse lecturer at Coventry University for a number of years before I decided to train as an osteopath.

My own interest in osteopathy was sparked when an osteopath managed - after only two visits - to resolve an ongoing sciatica problem I had been suffering with. My GP and physiotherapist had had only limited success with it - needless to say I was impressed! Impressed enough to sign up to the British School of Osteopathy in London where I trained for 5 years.

Since graduating in 1999 I have been working as a full-time osteopath and for the last six years I have been working out of my own practice, The Earlsdon Practice in Coventry - a complementary health practice that offers a range of complementary and alternative therapies, including massage, homeopathy, acupuncture, hypnotherapy and chiropody, to name a few.

I am a registered member of the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and every year I spend time working in a hospital environment in order to maintain my membership of the NMC and to keep abreast of current best practice in nursing.
